A good example of the Rolex Submariner 16800 with a strong case and clearly legible reference and serial engravings.

The watch is fitted with an attractive matte tritium dial with painted hour plots and SWISS–T<25 signature. The dial appears to be a genuine Rolex 16800 matte dial, but it is earlier than would normally be expected for the 9.42m serial number and should therefore be regarded as a later replacement rather than original to this case.

The tritium plots have aged to cream, while the hands have developed a darker orange patina. The date disc has period-style open-6 typography. The bezel is fitted with a later Rolex-style/service insert.
