Rolex GMT-Master 1675 PCG Tropical Gilt “Wide Swiss” – Circa 1962–63
Serial: 875,001 Reference: 1675 Year: Circa 1962–63 Dial: Type C Gilt “Wide Swiss”
An early Rolex GMT-Master 1675 with pointed crown guards (PCG) and a glossy gilt Type C non-chapter-ring dial.
The dial has developed an attractive tropical brown colour, retaining strong gilt printing and warm cream-coloured tritium hour markers. It has the less-common “Wide Swiss” configuration, with the SWISS – T<25 signature extending across five minute hashes at six o’clock. This is a recognised Type C variation.
The watch retains the early small-arrow GMT hand and a period Rolex fat-font aluminium bezel insert, which has faded to an unusual grey/plum colour.
Pointed-crown-guard case with serial 875,001. The case retains good proportions and the distinctive early PCG profile.
A particularly attractive early 1675, combining a tropical gilt dial, Wide Swiss configuration, pointed crown guards and naturally faded vintage bezel insert.
Head only. No bracelet, box or papers.
