A late-production Rolex Sea-Dweller 1665 with the correct Mark IV matte dial. The dial is very clean with strong original printing and attractive ochre-coloured tritium hour markers. Tritium hands are in a broadly similar colour range, although the hand lume has aged somewhat differently from the dial.

The period Rolex aluminium bezel insert has developed an unusual aubergine/brown tropical fade, retaining its aged luminous pearl. The watch is fitted with a high-domed acrylic crystal of the T39/Superdome type.

Strong case with clearly legible 8,040,537 serial and 1665 reference engravings between the lugs. The case has been refinished during its life but retains substantial proportions.

A particularly attractive late example of the 1665 Great White, notable for its clean dial, warm tritium and unusually coloured naturally aged bezel insert.
