145.022-69 (1971) Straight Writing
An unusually attractive example of a rare -69 Straight Writing. The dial has turned a dark chocolate brown, while remaining in very good condition.
Bought from a private owner via a broker in Hong Kong, which fits with the oral history as the extract also shows Hong Kong.
This is one of the most attractive Speedmasters I know.

Serviced by Simon Freese January 2020. We also replaced the enamel paint in the engraving, which has since degraded – this is a non-permanent and non-invasive operation that I did as an experiment.
