A RARE OPPORTUNITY TO ACQUIRE SPECIAL WATCHES FROM A PRIVATE COLLECTOR

105.012-65

I bought this from a UK auction house, as a project to restore. I am very please with the result. The watch is entirely correct and may well be original.  There was damage to the bezel, which we mostly straightened out (at the top part near 65 – 60, but it’s hard to see now) The case back was in terrible condition, which we lightly polished. It was not polished hard and so failed opening marks remain, but it looks much better. The crystal was replaced, which transformed the appearance. The bracelet is correct 1506 with No 16 end links. The bracelet is a little loose but serviceable. Overall, the watch has responded wonderfully to our sympathetic restoration. The dial has a pleasing patina, and the overall appearance of the watch is correct, and each part looks like it has experienced the same things, and so looks original.

The price, given this is a complete correct example of a rare reference, is very attractive.
