A RARE OPPORTUNITY TO ACQUIRE SPECIAL WATCHES FROM A PRIVATE COLLECTOR

Certificate of Originality and Condition

A Proposal for Third Party Assessment of Speedmasters

Purpose

To produce a single document that details an opinion of the Originality, condition and coherence of a watch, by a trusted assessor.

This document can then be presented by sellers to improve confidence in those sellers, and by owners wishing to have peace of mind to know exactly what they have.

However we are only human, and may make declarations that with hindsight might prove wrong – no responsibility will be taken for any decision you make as a result of this opinion.

The Document

Will detail each part and list in turn its Originality or correctness, and then condition.

When read as a whole, a conclusion can be drawn as to the overall originality and condition of the watch, and this is presented at the end in a one paragraph summary

Execution

The customer contacts SP101 for a date slot, and SP101 will arrange for an extract of the archives if the watch does not yet have one.

The watch will be sent at the customers expense and risk to either our UK or USA location, on or close to the date agreed.

The watch will be examined in hand by an expert who will compile an internal working document of notes and Photographs. From those notes a Certificate of Originality and Condition will be compiled. This summary, including photographs will be available online, password protected.

The customer is free to download and use these photographs for selling or promotional purposes, as long as our watermark is visible.

In order to make this assessment the watch needs to be present at either our UK or USA location for at least one full day.

The watch will have the case back removed for inspection and the dial and movement will not be removed unless the customer specifically asks for photos of the de-cased watch.

Remote assessment is not available.

Shipping and Insurance

Shipping to and from these locations is at the customers expense and risk. The watch is always to be insured by the customer, even when with us. No responsibility is taken for any loss.

Omega Extract

If we proceed with the assessment without an extract then this will devalue the assessment. Therefore an extract should be obtained or we can obtain one for you at cost.

We have no affiliation with Omega, or the Omega Museum.

Fees

The fee for the inspection, assessment, document, and photos, all posted on line will be USD250 for a caliber 861 and $450 for a caliber 321. If we must obtain an extract the charge will be an additional $140. Once the fees are paid, the watch will be released and the The information will remain online for you to access for as long as we have a website. You must arrange all shipping and insurance.

Liability

We are not liable for any opinion offered. We take no responsibility for any loss however incurred as a result of using this service. That you agree to this is a condition of use of the service.
